As a child, I spent most of my time reading – Amar Chitra Katha, Archie comics, Enid Blyton’s children’s books, Nancy Drew mysteries, Mills and Boon romances and plain old Reader’s Digest. Stories fascinated me, entertained me and kept me engaged. I loved being a reader.
Until one day, I met someone who looked like me. But her story was very different from mine. I wondered how it would feel to be someone else; someone real but different from me. What would she do next? Her choices would be different from the ones I would make. How would her story unfold?
I followed the ‘what if’ trail. It led me to an unfamiliar place and presented me with a new story. I was hooked. So, I wrote more stories, about different women, sometimes in traditional relationships, sometimes in unusual circumstances, but always poised on the precipice of a choice, not knowing what came next.
Curiosity made me a writer. Passion for writing brought me to Story Artisan Press.
